What should I wear?
We recommend wrapping up in warm outdoor clothing and please wear gloves. On all outdoor ice rinks there is a risk of getting wet as surface water accumulates on top of the ice.
Can I bring my bag on the ice?
Bags of any description are not permitted on the Ice, so we advise that you only bring the essentials with you. All bags must be placed in the lockers or the cloakroom provide.
What if the ice is wet?
The rink is prepared for changing weather conditions. It is still safe to skate on the ice during rain and snow; this does not affect the ability to skate on the rink. Skating will continue in the rain so please check the weather forecast and dress appropriately.
What Skate size should I get?
Your skate size should be the same size as your shoe size. The smallest size is a junior size 8(EU size 25). The largest size is an adult size 15 EU size 50.
What happens if I fall?
If you feel like you are going to fall, always aim to put your hands in a fist to avoid your fingers having any accidents! If you have already fallen, the easiest way to get back up safely is to get on both your knees, raise one knee and use your arms if needed to lift your body weight up on both feet – ask any of our members of staff to show you if you like, we’d be glad to show you!
Do you sell socks or gloves?
Unfortunately we do not sell any socks or gloves here at the rink, however there are nearby shops and supermarkets that sell both items.
Do you have a first aider on site if I have an accident while I am skating?
All our staff are first aid trained at the Ice Rink, if you have an accident please ask a member of staff for help.
Can I bring my own skates?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own skates, although this will not alter the price of your ticket.
